Úna O’Reilly (1421)

Úna O’Reilly Formerly (Úma Noir)
8th Generation Cappadocian
Wife of Cormac O’Reilly, Childe of Guy leBlanc

About 100 years ago a loner embraced you Cappadocian named Guy leBlanc. From what you understand, he should have continued to be a loner, but decided he needed a partner instead. So for the last century you two have studied death in all of its forms. Now, with the plagues and the long war between England and France winding down, you have found another place to focus your energies. 10 years ago you two decided to bring down a region through diplomacy. Guy placed himself in the English court, and associated with a no name that was made Lord of Norman Ireland. You immediately set off for Ireland to put yourself on the other side of things.

5 years ago, you became the wife of Cormac O’Reilly and adopted his name. He was taken by your creamy skin, but was completely unaware of your undead status. During your honeymoon, you explained that an old French custom was to drink each others blood, you let him drink yours first. Voila! A ghoul. There’s a new sucker born every minute.

As it turns out, the O’Reilly’s swept the Normans practically out of existence over the next 5 years, and now you control virtually all of the area from Cavan to Dublin. This wasn’t such a good development for Guy, and he let you know in no uncertain terms. During the beat down, you devised a plan. You would contact the witches you’ve met through the years and hire them out to start a famine outside of Dublin and put Guy in touch with a small sect of Christian fanatics (the red daggers) and have them start a plague. This made sense since each group was tired of being persecuted by their rulers. Once those were under way, he could hire those fanatics to stop the famine and you could hire the witches to stop the plague, this made equal sense because the “red daggers” can’t stand crimes against nature, and the witches feel the same about the body.

Well, everything is going better than planned. The Irish want to import barley from England and the English in Dublin want to bring in fresh water from Ireland. So you and Guy arranged a meeting in Dun Boyne, just West of Dublin. The pretense for the meeting is a jousting match and dance. To further drive a wedge into things, you ordered Cormac to make his virginal (witch) daughter Generis the prize. Given that all of the Clans are coming to stake their claim on things, death and mayhem are sure to break out there.

Your job is to make the negotiations between the English Lord and Cormac as long and protracted as possible, in order to quietly incite a revolt amongst the Irish. If that doesn’t work out, you might be able to arrange to have an Englishman win the jousting tournament, causing unrest. If, in the process, you can pay Guy back for that last beating, then even better.

What is this?
