Geoffrey Fitz-Eustace (1421)

Geoffrey Fitz-Eustace
Guard and manservant to Niall O’Reilly

You were born into Norman Ireland. This was an area controlled by the English until you were about 17, but now the O’Reilly’s control it. You’ve hated the English ever since you were 8, when you were beat up by several of them because of your Gaelic accent. Well, partly. They also called you SLOW. You’ve never been able to speak very fast and tell a story clearly.

Being called slow is something you absolutely detest. Every woman you tried to pursue has pushed you away, deeming themselves too good for you. Now you have a tendency to lose your temper if someone calls you slow or says that you’re not worthy of conversation.

When the O’Reilly’s moved in, you applied and got hired on as a guard to their family. Handy with the sword and able to take orders, you were the perfect hire. After successfully aiding in the defense of a monastery west of Cavan, you were made Niall O’Reilly’s personal guard/servant. Niall is the brother of Cormac, the Irish leader. Niall treats you very well, and you have made friends with Cellach Fitz-Dermot.

Cellach, the personal guard for Cormac, is a funny guy. You seem to get into a lot of bar fights when you follow him on his outings. He is always with a bar wench or two, but that’s part of what makes him fun.

The most wonderful thing about working in the O’Reilly manor is Generis. She is the sister of Cormac and Niall. You are kind of shy when you pass her in the hallways, but she is always nice to you. You might be falling in love with her…a very possessive kind of love.

This weekend there is a major dance/joust tournament in Dun Boyne that nearly everyone is attending. You are going with Niall because he is participating in the joust. You’ve heard that Generis is the prize for winning, and she isn’t at all happy about it. Cormac is an asshole for doing such a thing, Generis is so much more than a “prize”. Your only hope of having her is Niall winning. If he does, you can hope that he will give Generis to you. If he doesn’t, you are sure to lose her forever – and that can’t happen.

Seriously, if you can’t love her, no one can.

What is this?
