Seysild O’Loingsigh (1421)

Seysild O’Loingsigh
10th Generation Malkavian
Welsh rebel

You have been fighting English for as long as you can remember. All throughout the countryside of Wales for the last 50 years, you and yours have been raising hell to stop the English repression of your people. In 1410, the Welsh leader, Owain Glyndwr (the true Prince of Wales), was critically wounded in battle. He was unconscious until dark, when you discovered him on the verge of death. That’s when you ghouled him and he took on a new identity. Since he was given up for dead and the rebellion was crushed, Owain Glyndwr passed into legend and was never heard from again. His new identity is Cadugan O’Ceallaigh, and you two work together to do the best you can to aid the Welsh effort.

Now you are going to Ireland to hook up with someone sympathetic to your cause. The person you are going to meet is Fergus O’Sullivan. He is a member of an esteemed Irish clan that would do anything to hurt the English. Recently, he has been burning their food stocks in Dublin while they suffer the plague. What joy! He arranged for two Welshmen to meet you at the docks last week.

The two that met you were the le Waleys. These are relatives of some soldiers that followed Owain when he was Prince of Wales. They won’t recognize him because they’ve never been outside of Ireland. AND they don’t know about your undead status, but are definitely on your side. Even before you got off of the docks, they had quite a bit to say about Fergus. Mostly that he’s quite crazy. That fact was just amusing. Maybe you’ll ghoul or embrace them if they prove themselves this weekend. Right now they’re just walking food.

The le Waleys informed you that the meeting is taking place at a town called Dun Boyne, located beyond the Pale. It is a dance/jousting tournament and will be the perfect place to size up the English, as well as curry favor with the Irish. You’re not sure what everyone has in store for you, but you know that the Irish want you as much as you want them. Your advantage is that they are a little bit desperate. Even though Dublin is reeling from the plague, Ireland proper is in famine. Wales is overflowing with food that the English are boating to Dublin. That food, of course, can be diverted…

Cadugan should be familiar with some of the protocols involved in dealing with English Lords and Irish Clan Leaders, so it would be best to let him take the lead on that. You can work with Fergus on figuring out how to work things from behind the scenes.

Everyone wants to see the English pay for their persecutions, but the Irish have no strength. Maybe you can help them with that, and really screw the oppressors.

What is this?
